I did an Eblast about PMC machines over two years ago but I’m repeating the topic because this video explains the process much better. As you can see in the pictures and video, the PMC die which is shiny, silver steal, acts like a giant “cookie cutter.” Two or three inches of pre-sized printed products such as single sheet, folders, pads, pasted bound books, saddle stitched books or perfect bound books are “rammed” through the die. PMC is most frequently the only way to reasonably “shape” the products I just listed. We have the largest PMC machine of any trade bindery in Canada…9” x 11”! When you want a product with edges as smooth as glass that needs to be shaped…call us…we can help!
