Sheets larger than 28” x 40” for example 34” x 48” or 36” x 74” etc…often need to be folded. The maximum size for most binderies is 30” x 42.” Our maximum is 44” x 80!” Years ago, binderies with these large folding machines were quite common and they were busy, sometimes, around the clock, folding roadmaps. For all intents and purposes that market has dried…compliments of Google maps. We have a folding machine that will fold posters, large diagrams, some maps, banners, etc… Anything requiring large sheet folding on large sizes we can do.
On our large buckle folding machine, we can parallel folds as accordion or a roll fold style sheet as long as 80”. We could right angle fold sheets as wide as 44” as long as 80”. On the same machine we can do a second right angle or if required or a third right angle…produce double gate folds…etc. We can tip a brochure on the large sheets before folding or between folded panels.
